National Curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety 2024
All children in Year Six can:
- swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- use a range of strokes effectively
- perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
It is our aim that all children in Year Six achieve the National Target by the end of July 2024
